I bought this vacuum, in part due to very positive reviews received, but has now tried two different machines I find the positive reviews complete mystery. Vacuum is good for hard floors, but not exceptional. The carpets, however, is a complete disappointment. On both carpets and blankets piled style area rugs Powerhead was completely ineffective. We have three cats, one of which pulls the hair out in clumps and empty picked up almost without hair from carpet, no matter how many times we went through it. Our 10 years old Eureka canister battered works much better. I would recommend this vacuum to anyone, especially if you plan to use on the carpet.
